Nearly there...

Planning a trip to South East Asia (which now includes Nepal, India, China and Dubai) is a much bigger task than I originally expected. Part of this is due to the incompetence of BT, which resulted in a much delayed provision of internet service and part of it is due to me not being my usual control-freak self and leaving everything until six weeks before we leave. This caused a lot of panic in regard to visas (you are advised to start this process four months in advance!), vaccinations and accommodation. Asia, it seems, is quite a popular destination at this time of year - pesky students and their gap years.

Anyway, Andy and I, along with Andy's youngest sister Claire depart the UK on 16 January for two - three weeks in Nepal and India before heading over to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Claire will leave us late February (to sit her police entrance exam) when we will then head in the general direction of Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Beijing and Dubai.

Hello from Woodside.

Hope you are all well.

Dad says 'hurry up and phone home'.

Abbie wants to say 'meow'.

Kev has written off his car - what an excuse to get a new one!!!! Luckily there is a lovely Honda in the drive.....

Take care.

Speak soon.

All are well. Kathmandu was crazy. At Chitwan national park just now. There are elephants outside our room. Claire is off doing a jeep safari. Will phone soon. Lara receives a text "good x" every hour on the hour. I know of a very fast Volvo if Kev is stuck.
